Details from the death certificate of Hannah Pyner, formerly Witherley, (the widow of George Pyner), added to the page showing the descendents of Joseph Pyner.
Information on the William Henry Pyner has now been brought up to date with data from the 1911 census. Further research reveals that May Pyner, (born 1885), was the daughter of Emily Pyner, so is therefore the grand-daughter of William Pyner, not his daughter.
I have also revised all of the summary pages to give them a consistent look and added a perpetual calendar in the Reference section to find the day of week in any year from 1500 to 2099.
There is also a page in the Reference section showing the Chapman Codes in alphabetical order of both code and county.
New edition of guestbook to cause inconvenience to someone who is posting meaningless messages. My apologies to those who wish to post messages relating to my site.
An error linking Harriet Berry, born 1836, to Thomas Cook has now been removed, (thanks Paul).
Information from the 1911 census on Sarah Watson, wife of George Pyner in 'Other Pyners', has now been included.
My Pyner family updated with 1911 census information. I have finally concluded that the birth of Frederick James Pyner was registered as Edward James Pyner, although whether this was a mistake, or his name was changed subsequently I do not know.
There are some more family photographs now under the Reference menu.
I have moved the photographs of places from the Places page to their own page in the Reference menu as I will be adding more family photographs this year.
More photographs added, this time of Fairford in Gloucestershire, Cricklade in Wiltshire, and Kilpeck in Herefordshire. Captions will be added at a later date as I am changing the way the photos are displayed, and I will be providing larger images that previously.
Some corrections to the Herbert family history, plus some new material on this branch of my family.
Minor amendments to several members of the Duggan family, plus I have updated the summary page.
Owens ancestry taken back a generation, plus further information on the family from about 1800 to 1850 when they lived in the Thatcham area added from parish registers.
Abbreviated histories of the descendants of Robert Shurmer added, plus other Shurmer pages to reflect additions of new data.
Also charts have been updated to reflect new Shurmer ancestors.
Much more information on the Berry family has been added.
Further research has convinced me that the Brecon Poyners or Poiners from Llanelly near Crickhowell are descended from my g-g-g grandfather William Pyner. I have therefore moved the Brecon page and rewritten it, plus adding more information. This information can now be found in the My Pyners submenu of the Pyners menu.
There is also a new page showing the variations in the spelling of the surnames of my Pyner ancestors, and also the related Brecon branch Poyners or Poiners.
There are also a few more places in the Herefordshire section of the Places submenu in the Reference section. I hope to add some pictures of these Herefordshire villages later in the year.
Details of Richard Poiner and his family which were in the Staffordshire page have now been transferred to the new Shropshire page which contains several new finds.
